Synchronization window for the Extended mode

On the screen below you can see the synchronization window for the Extended mode:

FieldMeaning
Synchronization modeThis group defines the mode of synchronization. You can choose Marks dependent mode or Extended mode.
   Marks dependent modeFile copy direction is defined by marks in the comparison table.
   Extended modeExtended mode includes some predefined methods of file synchronization like as Mirror copy and Backup.
Confirm overwritesIf this option checked then ADCS will ask you before overwriting files.
Show preview windowIf this option checked then you see preview synchronization window before actual synchronization.
StatisticsIn this group you can see file statistics for compared directories.
   Remove empty foldersIf checked then ADCS will remove empty folders from selected pane.
   Pairs listThis button opens List of compared directories pairs. This button appears only if compared more than one pair.
Synchronization methodThis group includes controls to choose a method of synchronization.
   Mirror copyADCS will copy all files from source directory to the destination directory and delete all single files in destination directory. So the destination directory will be made identical to the source directory.
   Backup copyADCS will copy all files from source directory to the destination directory. So files from the source folder will be added to the destination directory.
   CustomThis method allows you manually select actions for files from the drop-down controls.
Copy directionThis group includes controls to choose copying direction.
   Copy files from Left pane to Right paneDirectories on the Left pane of the comparison table will be source. Files will be copying from Left pane of the comparison table to the Right one.
   Copy files from Right pane to Left paneDirectories on the Right pane of the comparison table will be source. Files will be copying from Right pane of the comparison table to the Left one.


Click Ok button or press Enter to start synchronization process.

Notes:

  • All files will be synchronized!
  • Synchronization activities can stored in the log files: full and error logs.
