Copy files

With this command you can copy selected files from both panel of comparison table to another directory.

The Copy selected files to another directory window can be activated by click on the button Copy to in the Comparison table toolbar or by select the main menu item File operations|Copy selected files to another directory (Shift+F5).

FieldMeaning
Source directoriesDisplays paths to source directories.
Pairs listThis button opens List of compared directories pairs. This button appears only if compared more than one pair.
Destination directoryDisplays a path to a destination directory. You can write a path to a destination directory, if destination directory does not exist ADCS will create it. Also you can use environment variables in the path. For example, "C:\%username%\My Documents".
Destination directories historyDisplays the list of previous destination directories. This list allow you to quickly select a destination directory.
Remove itemDeletes selected directory from the destination directories history list.
Clear historyClears the destination directories history list.
BrowseAllows to browse to select a destination directory.
With directories structureIf checked, then ADCS will be copying files with directories structure.
When destination file existsAllows to define what will do ADCS when a destination file exists:
  • Overwrite - allows copying, herewith existing file with such name will be deleted.
  • Skip - does not allow to file copying.
  • AutoRename - If coping file is exist in a target directory then Heatsoft ADCS automatically rename existing file. For example, if file readme.txt is exist then coping file (readme.txt) will be named readme[1].txt.
  • Ask - If coping file is exist in a target directory then Heatsoft ADCS Ask you about action (Skip, Overwrite, Overwrite all older, Autorename).
  • OkStarts executing process of copying files.
    CancelCloses the dialog box without executing process of copying files.


    Notes:

  • Only selected files will be copied!
  • Copying activities can stored in the log files: full and error logs.
